Chris Gayly levels the Shahid Afridi’s record of most International sixes in the 3rd one-day International against Bangladesh.

Chris Gayle a big hitter, played his innings against Bangladesh and levelled the record set by Shahid Afridi. The third and final one-day International match of the bilateral series, Gayle, smashes five sixes to equal the record of Shahid Afridi.

Gayle scored 73 runs from just 66 balls and managed to hit enough sixes to reach the record set by Pakistani big hitter. Previously, Shahid Afridi was the sole record holder of 476 sixes, but now Gayle has levelled the record. And soon, in his next series he will surpass the record easily.

It’s worth mentioning here that the Gayle has played lesser matches as compared to the Afridi. Gayle played 443 matches and managed 476 sixes; while Boom Boom, Afridi played 524 matches to hit 476 sixes.

West Indies is going to play T20 series against Bangladesh, where Chris Gayle is also the part of squad. This would be best opportunity for the Gayle to shuffle the list of most Sixes in International matches, break the record hold by Shahid Afridi.
