Qualcomm 5G Modem Used in Smartphone Devices Coming in 2019 – Movingtrend

Qualcomm stated that smartphone featuring X50 5G NR modem will reach the market in 2019. More prominently Chinese brand Vivo has promised to introduce a handset featuring Qualcomm 5G Modem.
5G Modem Smartphones are expected to launch in 2019
Many Global Smartphones and PC OEMs have joined hands with Qualcomm to integrate the Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem on to their smartphones devices. OEMs joins hands with Qualcomm, and the name of the handset manufacturing company which will feature 5G Modem are Xiaomi, Nokia – HMD Global, LG, HTC, Sony, OPPO and ZTE. Other OEMs like Fujitsu, Inseego/Novatel Wireless, NetComm Wireless, Netgear, Sharp, Sierra Wireless, Telit, Wingtech, and WNC are other OEM have joined hands with Qualcomm; these devices will be constructed around sub-6GHz and millimeter wave spectrum brand.

Snapdragon 5G Modem
Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem will not only be featured in smartphones but also be available on Connected PCs, Head Mounted Display containing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Extended Reality (XR), and mobile Broadband. According to the claim of Qualcomm this new technology will offer faster browsing, faster downloads, better streaming, and instant cloud access on handsets. Senior Vice President and General Manager, Alex Katouzian of Qualcomm Technologies said, ”As evidenced by our work with these distinguished OEMs from around the globe and as we demonstrated in 3G and 4G LTE, Qualcomm Technologies is utilizing our deep expertise and technology leadership to support the successful launch of 5G NR, driving innovation in the mobile ecosystem.”

Qualcomm Partnership with wireless Network:
Qualcomm has also partnered with the different wireless network operators, the name list includes AT and T, British Telecom, Sprint, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, NTT DOCOMO, Orange, Verizon, Telstra, Singtel.
