Android 8.0 Oreo Update Available for Xiaomi Mi A1 – Movingtrend

Xiaomi Mi A1 is receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo, it comes with December security patch. Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched in last September and was promised to receive the update to Android Oreo.
Android 8.0 Oreo is made available via OTA Update

Xiaom has finally made its promise fulfilled by rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update to the Xiaomi Mi A1. This update comes with the December Android security patch alongside other features. This new update is made available as a progressive over-the-air (OTA) update on December 31.

The Android 8.0 Oreo update carries the features like Picture-in-Picture mode, New Notification dots, Background Limits, Auto-Fill, and Smart Text Selection and with some additional improvements like Adaptive app icons, and faster boot.

Xiaomi is the first smartphone in the Mi family to obtain the Android Oreo Update. Xiaomi last month publicized that it was looking for beta testers to acquire feedback on the Android Oreo update. Android 8.0 Oreo update comes in 1107.4MB size.

According to the Official post of the Xiaomi’s MIUI Forum, users have to perform some activities like:
1. Install Software Version 7.12.19 Android Nougat on Mi A1.
2. Then will receive the Android Oreo update 7.12.29
Users can check the availability of the Android Oreo Update for your Mi A1. Go to handsets Settings > Software Updates
