Richie Richardson appointed as referee in World XI Series - Movingtrend

Pakistan Cricket Board reported in a press that Sir Richie Richardson has appointed as referee for the World XI Series which is being played between Pakistan and World XI. Sir Richie Richardson was the Former Skipper of the West Indies team and a legend player of the International Cricket history.

Sir Richie Richardson has been the member of the Emirates Elite Panel of the International Cricket Council referee since 2016. He has umpired 18 Twenty20s, 19 One Day International, and 11 Tests. Richie Richardson had very bright career in cricket from 1983 to 1996. He was the best player of his time. He had played 86 Tests, 224 ODIs representing West Indies.

It is the first time after 2009 terrorists attack that the International Cricket Council is sending a match official in Pakistan.

World XI series is held at Lahore's Qaddafi Stadium on Sep 12,13, and 15. Three T20s is played between Pakistan and World XI Teams. This series is held for the revival of the International Cricket in Pakistan.
