WhatsApp will stop working on the older smartphones soon. The list of the OS that will be believed to be stop running WhatsApp are Windows Phone 8.0, Symbian S40, BlackBerry OS, and BlackBerry 10. Now, users can move to more modern phone.

As the smartphone market is growing every year, smartphones with enhanced features are available in variety. The percentage of the users on the older platforms is lessening to 1 percent. The users of the older OS will not get the latest updates for the WhatsApp in coming year but the security related updates are expected to be available for one more year. Android versions 2.3.7 Gingerbread and older will stop getting support after January 2020. So, the users are still supported.
